how to compare regions of 2 buffers |

Hi NG,
I have two buffers A and B. Both more than 2000 lines. One part (lines
500-1000) of both buffers are almost identical. But not exacly identical. I
want to find out the differences between the two 500-lines-regions.
In the emacs online help I have only found
- highlight-compare-with-file
-compare-windows
But I need a function that compares only one marked region in buffer A with
another marked region in buffer B. Something like "compare-region"
What can I do?
Thanks in advance,
Roland
