Kai,
Since I use emacs almost exclusively (and internet explorer, of course), I
am am concluding it must be emacs. The problem is erratic. Sometimes I can
go for a week without a problem. 3 days ago, Sunday afternoon, it happened
very quickly after using ange-ftp with emacs twice in a row. Hmmm... I like
your guess. The web hosting service (did I say ISP below? I meant web
hosting service) claims that I am the only one having these problems.
