'I've moved to a mac (OS 10.3.2) and have installed aspell (which I
only use for Emacs, and usually LaTeXing). I have
(setq ispell-program-name
"/Library/PreferencePanes/Spelling.prefPane/Contents/MacOS/cocoAspell")
(add-hook 'LaTeX-mode-hook 'flyspell-mode)
in my .emacs, which works fine, but I'd like to be able to check
word by word, region by region, easily add words to the dictionary
while spell checking (and from my old ispell_words file). Is there
a way to get some counterpart of this (from my _emacs under
Windows) to work (obviously it will need path changes, but that
hasn't been enough):
--------------
(autoload 'ispell-word "ispell4"
"Check spelling of word at or before point" t)
(autoload 'ispell-complete-word "ispell4"
"Complete word at or before point" t)
(autoload 'ispell-region "ispell4"
"Check spelling of every word in the region" t)
(autoload 'ispell-buffer "ispell4"
"Check spelling of every word in the buffer" t)
(setq ispell-command "c:/emacs/bin/ispell4/ispell.exe"
ispell-look-dictionary "c:/emacs/bin/ispell4/ispell.words"
ispell-look-command "c:/emacs/bin/ispell/look.exe"
ispell-command-options (list "-d"
"c:/emacs/bin/ispell4/ispell.dict")
(setq ispell-command "c:/ispell4/ispell.exe"
ispell-look-dictionary "c:/ispell4/ispell.words"
ispell-look-command "c:/ispell/look.exe"
ispell-command-options (list "-d"
"c:/ispell4/ispell.dict")
)
(setq ispell-enable-tex-parser t)
(define-key global-map "\C-c1" 'ispell-word)
(define-key global-map "\C-c2" 'ispell-region)
(define-key global-map "\C-c3" 'ispell-buffer)
(define-key global-map "\C-c4" 'ispell-complete-word )
---------------------
