There is already a convention:

Subject: foo.el
Subject: foo.el 1.2
Subject: foo.el 1.2 --- Frobnicate oedipal ouvre, with font-lock support

Only sources are appropriate in gnu.emacs.sources; discussion belongs in
[Followup-To:] gnu.emacs.help.
