Any ideas on how to get rid of these warnings?

Why? At byte-compile time not all variables or functions can be known by the byte-compiler, particularly when they are defined in other ELisp files. So a warning is emitted when something is felt missing. Unless the ELisp code fails in real life, i.e. when working with it, you don't need to care much about them.

For some reason, this fortune reminds everyone of Marvin Zelkowitz.
