emacs 22.3 crash under X86_64 running Fedora 10

emacs 22.3 crash under X86_64 running Fedora 10 |

I have installed emacs and ess using "yum install emacs emacs-ess".
When I open the first session of emacs it works fine.
When I open a second session (even after closing the first one). It
crashes the system.
Has anyone run into this problem?
Does anyone know a workaround??
