I was trying with regexp again to see if it works, and for example with


I can do

M-x query-replace-regexp start\([A-Z].*\) start_\1
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

but I can't put the second string to lower case, which I guess is
Any way to do that just with regexps?
