Dear Jai,
do you actually use capslock in the original way in some applications? - There
might be a convenient way to map capslock for selected applications if you use
tools like "Keyboard Maestro" (commercial). It is probably not possible to do
within Emacs: if you press C-h k CAPSLOCK you do not get a key mapping
(provided capslock is not mapped to some other modifier key) and - I think -
this would be required for a mapping within Emacs (I might be wrong).
