Gnus/5.13 (Gnus v5.13) Emacs/24.0.95 (gnu/linux) |
Hello,
using emacs 24.0.95 on a gentoo-prefix system I have a problem in
opening png-files:
PNG warning: Application built with libpng-1.2.44 but running with 1.5.9 [6
times]
emacs seems to use the system libpng while it should really use the one
from my prefix system. What can I change to make this work?
My emacs-build actually was using the correct libpng15-headers from the
prefix-system. Also "ldd `which emacs`" show correctly:
libpng15.so.15 => /local1/b_motz01/gentoo/usr/lib/libpng15.so.15
Maybe a similarly problem: emacs doesn't seem to respect my $PATH
settings, when choosing e.g. the gdb-executable: It uses the version
from the underlying system instead of the first one in $PATH.
Is this a bug?
Any help is appreciated, Benjamin
