While awaiting the day, let me tell you the sad story of a FUN company's 
decease, which declared it's code
free while adopting the mistake.

All the tools Eclipse provides existed in Emacs for years before: ECB, CEDET, 
projects and the like.
What slowed down it's integration?
A shortage of fresh water? :)
