Check Tu Do's explanation above for making this easier to use. I
think lots of people find C-z awkward to use, and swap TAB and C-z:
(define-key helm-map (kbd "<tab>") 'helm-execute-persistent-action)
(define-key helm-map (kbd "C-z") 'helm-select-action)
That fixed my annoyances with helm-find-files.
