I have:

  (setq gnus-visible-headers (concat gnus-visible-headers "\\|^Archived-At:"))

and as I read all lists mostly from Gmane it gives me permalink for saving for
further reference.

Gmane shut down Web interface and these links are no longer worked.

As alternative I wrote:

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
(defun my/gnus-search-web-by-message-id ()
  "Search for article archive by Message-Id in Google."
  (let ( (msgid (message-fetch-field "Message-Id")) (subj (message-fetch-field
"Subject")) )
    (setq msgid (replace-regexp-in-string "[<>]" "" msgid))
    (setq subj (replace-regexp-in-string "[\"#]" " " subj))
    (browse-url (format ""; (url-encode-url
(format "%s OR \"%s\"" msgid subj))))
    (browse-url (format ""; (url-encode-url
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

But search engines usually fail to find messages.

Another approach is to use ``List-Archive`` header, like:

  List-Archive: <>

and try to determine list hosting/archiving software (like ``namazu``) and
automatically fill form and browse result in browser.

For example, Namazu has ``+message-id:<...>`` syntax for searching by

It is complicated task. Anyone works on this?
