You can get the Emacs version from/in Emacs with
`emacs-version', and with C-u it inserts as well,
i.e. C-u M-x emacs-version RET
GNU Emacs 29.0.50 (build 1, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, cairo
version 1.16.0) of 2021-12-31
You have to fill it manually tho if the line gets to long.
