Double-dotting

I'd like to know if it is actually possible to "double-dot" notes in            
                               
Lilypond (see crude ascii clarification below):                                 
                               
                                                                                
                               
    |                                                                           
                               
    |   == a minim, one half note.                                              
                               
   O                                                                            
                               
                                                                                
                               
    |                                                                           
                               
    |   == a minim + a crotchet, three-quarter note - single-dotted.            
                               
   O.                                                                           
                               
                                                                                
                               
    |                                                                           
                               
    |   == minim + crotchet + quaver, seven-eighth note - double-dotted.        
                               
   O..
