I usually need to manually edit the netlist, usually something 
simple.

I always run the simulator interactively, so the schematic has 
no simulator commands.  I have always thought embedding 
simulator commands in a schematic to be rather bizarre.

There are some big changes in the works, so documentation of the 
old way has not been a priority.
