Please keep help-grub CCd. That forum thread doesn't show any attempts
to use grub2. Grub2 is all that this mailing list supports, and as
grub legacy has not had an upstream for over 6 years, it's clearly not
going to work with 2048 byte sector size drives. Please try grub 1.99,
or preferably grub 2.0 beta1, and report what works and what doesn't.
