Thanks for the reply. I've had a look at the linear regression in the least
squares section. Is this the one you're refering to? It appears to only do
linear line fitting but I'm after a 3D version of the gsl_interp_cspline
interpolation function.

I have successfully installed GSL on my system and the interpolation
function I was wanting to use works fine. However, as far as I
understand, the function only works for 2D points but not 3D. Is this
correct?
Is there an add-on to GSL that will allow interpolation of 3D
coordinates?
