Erm... Do you really mean Debian GNU/*Linux*, not Debian GNU/Hurd?...

What you need for this job is the source code, either from the Debian
package: 

   apt-get source gnumach

or from the upstream repository:

   cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.savannah.gnu.org:/sources/hurd co -r 
gnumach-1-branch gnumach
