This might not be your best bet depending on what you want to do.  The
cygwin version of GNU make really works best when you're building cygwin
software in a cygwin environment, not a native Windows application.

There are native Windows ports of GNU make as well.

But, regardless, if you're working on Windows, DOS, or OS/2 platforms
you probably should be asking for platform-specific help on the
address@hidden mailing list: more of the Windows folks hang out there
than on this list.
