I agree that in a vague sense, ^Y could be understood as "search for the
top of file".  That's probably why ^Y was in the ^W menu in Pico.  But
it stretches the meaning of searching beyond what I'm willing to allow.

Agreed.  "More and more useful while keeping it familiar" is well worded.
I will stick the phrase above my monitor.  :)
