Trouble installing on Windows XP

Hello,

    I've downloaded Octave onto my new laptop, which is
running Windows XP.  The install procedure appears to=20
run correctly, and reports that Octave has been=20
successfully installed.  However, when I try to start=20
Octave, a window briefly flashes on the screen and
disappears.  Has anyone else run Octave under XP?
