Please DON'T post material on this list that is part of Matlab. Those
functions clearly have a copyright notice that says that they can't be
redistributed.
BTW, have you checked the Matlab license that you agreed to (by using
the software)? I think it now includes a clause that says that you
may not use the M-files that are part of Matlab with any interpreter
other than Matlab.
If you find that something is missing in Octave, the appropriate thing
to do is provide a free replacement. You can't do that if you are
reading the Matlab sources.
