octave-forge (http://octave.sf.net). Some linux distributions prepackage

Re 2.1.50 version
In unix version I don't have textread.m, interp2.m etc
whereas these functions are available in windows version.
Are they packaged differently ?
Right now I just copied required .m files from windows version to unix
version and there is no problem.
