What about the external libraries such as BLAS and ATLAS?
Octave 2.9.x compiles with gcc-4 on FedoraCore 4 just fine.
I could not get it to link ATLAS, but it would use reference
blas and lapack.
Can gcc-4 also compile a true 64bit version of octave, using the
recently introduced 64-bit integers?
"octave_idx"
Wouldn't this require ATLAS, BLAS and LAPACK to be rebuild with 64bit also?
