I write supplemental information about the above.
In general, there are the following 2 different ways (or gnuplots) to
introduce gnuplot into MS windows system, I think.
[1] Use of cygwin's setup.exe
[2] Use of windows version, gp400win32.zip, (See Paul Soderlind's page,
http://home.tiscalinet.ch/paulsoderlind/Software/Software.html#OctaveInstallation
)
My gnuplot is by [1]. I have confirmed the file "C:\cygwin\bin\gnuplot.exe"
and the directory "C:\cygwin\tmp".
Both gnuplots, [1] and [2], can be used through octave, whereas "octaverc"
or ".octaverc" for [2] is different from that for [1].
