??? Subscript indices must either be real positive integers or logicals.

There were some typo in plot command which Matlab could
had ignored and Octave does not.
plot(S,v,';;',)
Matlab 6.5:
>> plot(S,v,';;',)
??? plot(S,v,';;',)

Error: Expected a variable, function, or constant, found ")".
clip ...
