The reason for the CAMD confusion is that it was added to the UFsparse libraries with the last release, which is quite recent, and hasn't been accounted for yet in octave. I don't think any of the sparse stuff in octave depends on it directly, but some of the other UFsparese libraries now depend on it, and octave will probably need some small updates to take that into account.
