colorbars in imagesc

Hi,

I use Imagesc a lot to visualize 2d array of data (using gnuplot 4).  
There is always this colorbar showing the same 0-70 range. I am not  
sure, I think it differs between plots, but it doesn't seem to  
corellate in any way with the data. Is there any way to set up the  
colorbar to actually show the data range?
