Not in my personal idea of what a good society is. ;-)

Many of us come from a longstanding Unix tradition when the men were
men, the women were women, and email was email, where top-posting
looks ugly, and it still looks ugly in our traditional mailing list
archives.

You might think we should modify our mailing list archive software in
order to accomodate top posters, but I would personally prefer if
top-posters trim-posted instead.

It's a minor issue all around. I have yet to see someone who complains
about my trim-posts, and to me it seems like what a well-bred
gentleman should do, but other people obviously disagree.
