I'm using the ./autogen.sh --gnulib-srcdir=/path/to/checked/out/gnulib option.
I have cygwin's git installed, and I used it to check out a copy of gnulib
(updated it just before trying to build). Then I pointed autogen.sh to it, and
it seemed to pick it up (autogen.sh completed successfully, at least).
