RE: XLSReadWrite and Octave for Windows

I am really interested and have an immediate need but appreciate that there
may be other priorities. Love to help if I can.

Would this development require the ability to compile up Octave? Or can it
be accomplished by modifying scripts. I haven't been able to create an
environment where I can compile Octave so I am limited there.

Any recommendations on which XLS interface to use within Octave? (that meets
license requirements.

That seems about right. As a workaround, can you use cvs for now instead of
xls?

There's plenty of software that we could use in order to implement
writing to xls if you really need to. I could throw this into my wish
list pile if you really want it. I've done stuff like this in the
past. The old binary MSFT formats are actually not that hard to
understand.
