With 32 bit you should have even less problems so it is strange. Can you tell
me the output of
uname -a
rpm -q netcdf
rpm -q libnetcdf4
rpm -q libnetcdf-devel
something (but I do not know what) seems to be different and inconsistent on
your machine.
I also ran nctest which gives
writing test output to nctest.log
>>>>> /home/martinh/octave/octcdf-1.1.0/nctest.m
PASSES 21 out of 21 tests
