Have you tried something like this?

set(gca(),'fontsize',20) ; % tick label font size
xlabel('foo','fontsize',20) % title is similar

IIRC legend is trickier. Maybe use the text function and choose coords
near your legend.

text(0.5,0.5,'my legend','fontsize',20)
