Hi Ian,
there shouldn't be a difference whether installed with "pkg -forge
install image" or downloaded from http://octave.sourceforge.net/ and
installed with "pkg install image-2.2.1.tar.gz"
I tried both variants today and can't see a difference. Have you loaded
the image package before "test imresize"? I can reproduce your error
message when cd'ing to ~/octave/image-2.2.1 and running "test imresize"
without loading image before.
