You’ve already asked this question and received the competent answers. If there is something about the answers you don’t understand, please reply-all and request clarification on the specifics. If the event you didn’t receive the earlier response, I will give some advice that flies in the face of logic … check your spam filter ;-)
I saw a response on nabble, but none here. The nabble response said something about installing libGraphicsMagic from Ubuntu's repo. Didn't work. Still same error. No doubt I should not have hand-installed GraphicsMagic latest from source. I wil gladlyl recompile GraphicsMagic, but I don't know how to change configure or make file to add -fPIC. Any ideas?
The simple solution is to uninstall GraphicsMagic from /usr/local.
