temporary file format issue.

I did port latest RCS to VOS Stratus system. Everything is ok except
RCS temporary file name format. RCS temporary filename always starts
with # character. On VOS, # is disk name prefix. RCSmerge always
failed because # character. Is there any way we can change temporary
file format?
Any help is really apreciated.
