I guess the reference manual is only for the C library and not the R  
interface -- and I guess we forgot to update the dates in the  
copyright notice ;) The reference manual seems to be in line with what  
we have in igraph 0.5.2 (the latest stable version), which was  
released in 2009.

It depends on whether you use igraph directly from C or you use it  
from R. If you use it from R, use the document on the CRAN mirror or  
on the igraph homepage under the "R package" heading:

If you are using igraph directly from C, use the reference manual for  
the C core:

http://igraph.sourceforge.net/doc/igraph-docs.pdf
