I guess this method would also need --with-external-f2c? As otherwise it still seems to use the internal version.
But this indeed avoids the f2c error and it works, great!
Also, can you give more
information about the platform on which you are trying to compile
igraph? I couldn't reproduce the error on my Ubuntu machine so I suspect
it's something platform- or distribution-specific.
Sorry, forgot the details. This is on an Ubuntu 10.04.2 x86_64 installation, GCC is 4.4.3.
