CVS Server and Proxies |

Hi everbody,
I´m a newbie to the CVS system and have the following problem:
I try to access an CVS Server (at www.openorb.org) using WinCVS 1.2.
Trying to login in at the remote CVS server always results in :
NEW CVSROOT: pserver:address@hidden:/cvs/openorb (password
authentication using a proxy)
cvs login
(Logging in to pserver:address@hidden)
cvs [login aborted]: proxy server bla.blabla.de:1050 does not support
http tunnelling
So I tried to use a porxy supporting Socks, which should support http
tunnelling (at least somebody told me so). In this case I receive the
following error:
NEW CVSROOT: pserver:address@hidden:/cvs/openorb (password
authentication using a proxy)
cvs login
(Logging in to pserver:address@hidden)
cvs [login aborted]: recv() from server openorb.exolab.org: Connection
reset by peer
Please can anybody explain me what I am doing wrong or does the second
error mean that the remote CVS Server does not support proxies ?
Thanks in advance,
Thomas
