Hi,
When I use CVS.EXE (NT client), version 1.11.1p1, it takes a LONG time
(about 98 seconds for a large directory tree) to perform an update. But if
I revert to version 1.11, it takes about 8 seconds to do the same update
(more than an order of magnitude!!).
The command I am using is:
cvs -qn up (so nothing is changed on disk between calls)
I have gone back and forth testing each version of the executable several
times, using the same command on the same directory, and the results are
always the same:
version 1.11 = FAST
version 1.11.1p1 = SLOW
Both versions were built using VC++ 5.0 with the default project settings as
they existed in the CVS source tree.
Anyone know what has happened to performance on the NT client in version
1.11.1p1?
The server is version 1.11.1.1 running on Linux 6.1.
- Dennis
