If there is a file called history in your $CVSROOT/CVSROOT directory, this
contains the information you want. If there isn't then you can create
such a file and all checkins and checkouts will be recorded in it (but it
does grow if you have a busy repository so keep an eye on it and prune it
occasionally). I don't know if the format is documented anywhere, but
it's not that hard to work out - a U in the first column means a checkout
or update.
