Removing directories from CVS

Hello,

I am using WinCVS to maintain my project. 

It's no problem to remove files that I don't need anymore, but I don't know 
how to remove a directory (suppose it's an empty directory) that was 
previously added to the repository. Is that possible at all from within 
WinCVS or is it up to the administrator of the CVS server to remove a 
directory??
