I've been scouring mailing lists, archives and the web in general, but haven't
found a real good answer to my problem:
When I try to do anything after logging in, I get the following error:
setuid failed: Not owner
cvs update: authorization failed: server cvs.gfs.com rejected access
My setup:
WinCVS 1.2 client, using cvs-1.10 (NT server)
pserver protocol
cvs 1.10.7 running on Solaris 2.8
repository root is /lcl/data/cvsroot1
ownership of /lcl/data/cvsroot1 is cvsuser:cvsuser
permission bits on /lcl/data/cvsroot1 are rwxrwxr-x
I'm logging in as kadams, who is a member of the cvsuser group, so I should
have full access to /lcl/data/cvsroot1. If I map kadams to cvsuser, then
everything works fine. I'd rather not have to map every CVS user to one
system user, and based on what I've read, I shouldn't have to. Any ideas as
to what's going on?
