time == money

Whether they hire someone or do the work themselves, it costs them in some
way.  My point is that using CVS isn't free.  It's lack of an initial price
tag is made up for in some way.  I even argue that, in its way, CVS is very
expensive.  It may be expensive in ways that are difficult to account for,
but it's expensive nonetheless.
