That's a system error -- you're exceeding the process limit on the
number of open files. Most shells have a limit or ulimit command to
display and/or change the process limits. You may have to talk to your
system administrator -- this is a Solaris problem, not a CVS problem.

Even if lives DID hang in the balance, it would depend on whose they were.
