What does the line look like? Is there a "--allow-root=/home/cvsroot" option
on it?
Also do have the line in the services file for port 2401? And are you sure
that port
isn't blocked for any reason?
If all of the above are okay then do you have an entry in the CVSROOT/passwd
file if the
config file has SystemAuth=no?
