I was wondering what is the best way to do something that I cannot find
documentation for (maybe I haven't looked deep enough?).
I want to have cvs keep track of some files in a directory where I will have a
lot of other files appear.
The problem is that of course I only want CVS to consider the files it keeps
track of and I want it to ignore all the rest.
This is something similar to what .cvsignore does only not quite: In the .cvsignore file
I can put sh-style patters for files to be ignored but, since I don't know what kind of
files will appear in this directory, I want to implement a behaviour similar to
.cvsignore but where I can say "ignore everything except files that match these
patterns".
Is there any (standard) way of doing this?
