CVS Repositories backup ? |

My CVS is not a "pserver" type installation/setup.
It's being accessed 24/7.
I want to a clean backup every night, With out any file discrepancies,
i.e. i want to have a exclusive lock for write(commit changes) into the
repository. People can be checking out projects/files/etc but they
should not be able to check in stuff while i am backing the directories.
I have read about the #cvs.lock, #cvs.rfl, #cvs.wfl. If use this then i
have to lock each directory and any "N" directories under it.
Please advice if it's the only option.
If so are there any pre tested scripts for locking and releasing lock .
Thank you.
