shifting from pserver method to ext method

hi all,
    i have cvs repository configured and is accessed using 
password server
method. as it contains code, documentation and other sensitive 
data
i am thinking of shifting it to ext method connection. what 
changes i will
have to undertake? what precautions are to be taken? is there any 
online
document for this?
