OT: IMO a dedicated machine for version control is optimal and affordable so it is worth the effort to squeeze in a single Linux box and use CVS proper versus CVSNT. That will also help familiarize you with Linux. The primary stumbling block there is not the CVS server but rather ensuring you have remote connectivity through pserver or SSH. Then you have the problem of synchronizing passwords between your Windows and Linux boxes. There are many solutions but what is needed a specific HOW-TO on setting up a dedicated CVS server for Windows shops.

Subject: loginfo on CVSNT

Hi, all

I’m a new for cvsnt, and I want to use loginfo to record some commit information like the log message, filename, version number and so on. And I’m using .bat to run the loginfo script, like this: DEFAULT e:/script/login.bat %{sVv}

For the filename, version numbers I can use %{sVv} to get easily, but for the log message, is there any way to get this information?

Any help and suggestion will be welcome!

Best regards

frank
